Broome Youth and Families Hub is proud to announce the start of a newly developed program Strong Start. This program is focused on early intervention and has been developed from the learnings our team gained during the pilot program “Ride n Rise”, this initiative is funded through the Department of Justice.

Strong Start’s primary focus is to support children and families through positive engagement and meaningful Cultural and Community connection. Designed to be an early intervention case management and activity-based program for children aged 6-12 years and their families who may be experiencing challenges such as school disengagement or refusal, behavioural or emotional concerns, family stress, financial disadvantage, or reduced connection to positive supports. Using trauma-informed, strengths-based and relationship approach, the program works alongside children, families, schools and community services to navigate these factors.
