Reconnect and Youth Housing
Days: Monday - Friday
Times: 8am - 4pm
Ages: 12 - 25
The Reconnect and Youth Housing programs are designed to meet young people where they are at, with a primary focus on supporting those who are at risk of homelessness or currently experiencing homelessness. The programs provide engagement through one-to-one casework, with goal setting and case plans co-designed in partnership with the young person.
The programs focus on early intervention and prevention, supporting young people to engage in education and training, strengthen Culture and connection with family and community, social engagement, and access tailored supports such as mental health services. Advocacy is also a key component of the support provided.
The aim of Reconnect is to prevent youth homelessness by intervening early to stabilise and improve a young person’s housing situation, as well as their engagement with family, education, training, employment, and their local community. Nationally, Reconnect supports approximately 7,000 young people each year to strengthen family relationships, remain engaged in education, and participate in their communities.
